Sinochem DSM Biochemical Intermediates (Changchun) Co., Ltd. officially opened

Sinochem DSM Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd. (DSP) officially opened its DSM Sinochem Biochemical Intermediate (Changchun) Co., Ltd., a pharmaceutical intermediate production base located in Zhangshu, Changchun, Jilin Province. The base will mainly produce β-lactam intermediate 6-APA (6-aminopenicillanic acid), which is one of the key intermediates for the production of semi-synthetic penicillin used widely in the world.

According to information disclosed by the Changchun Municipal Government, Sinochem DSM Biochemical Intermediates Project is located in Wushu Economic Development Zone, Zhangshu City, with a total investment of 1.15 billion yuan, an area of 115,000 square meters, and an annual output of 4,000 tons of 6-APA. , extraction, distillation and other production workshops and outbuilding facilities. After the project is completed and put into production, annual sales income of 1.5 billion yuan and profits and taxes of 500 million yuan can be realized.

DSP is a joint venture between Sinochem Group and Royal Dutch DSM Group on global anti-infective chemical raw pharmaceutical business. The main production facilities are located in Europe, the Americas and Asia. DSP focuses on the development, production and sale of antibiotics such as antibacterial drugs (used to fight bacterial infections) and antifungal drugs (used to combat fungal infections) such as raw materials, intermediates and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), cholesterol-lowering drugs and others. The Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient of the drug has a leading position in the global market of beta-lactam anti-infective drug substances.
